I was called to come pick up my dog, as he was almost finished, and when I walked in the door, the owner/manager looked at me and said 'Is that your dog?'-- He was still being groomed on the table. I said yes and that person proceeded to yell at me to stand out of view. I literally had just walked in the door and was told off. I understand she didn't want the dog getting excited but the lack of courtesy and politeness was rude, as I had just that very second, walked through the door. It's not like I could avoid being seen...
the doorway is in direct line of the grooming tables! Maybe she was having a bad day, but she then yelled at a groomer while I was there as well. It was an uncomfortable situation. Not thrilled with customer service from the owner or manager. The groomer was very nice though.

The groomer was yelled to not at. She and your dog were very distracted and anxious about your premature arrival and your dog was in danger of injury. We have an open concept one on one facility. Owners are given clear instructions regarding pick up time. It is distracting and noisy when you as an owner initially walk in and at times it very difficult to get your attention. If an owner arrives before thier dog is ready it puts the excited pet at risk of injury. We try to shield the dog from seeing the owner, we also ask the owner to not let the dog hear or see them and to please have a seat around the corner in the waiting area not at the entry gate. There are very few dogs who can be safely groomed and on a grooming table when the doorbell rings and the most important thing in their life walks in. It has been my practice not to respond to negative reviews if my evaluation of the situation was "I am sorry, we are not a good fit for your needs or desires". We are a very busy, open concept, one on one facility with hundreds of happy repeat clients. Additionally we know ; We will not please everybody, We are not infallible, You have many grooming options available to you and We have no expectation that we will be the best choice for everyone. Every private salon has a style and personality. Come to the shop and see if this is your fit. That being said I will give brief responses now..

Kim is extremely knowledgeable and a pro at handling my fussy collies. Every time we go in, they come out looking amazingly beautiful and are stress free. Thankful to have her in GR!!!

Not sure how they are at grooming but their people skills are lacking. I called to make an appoint the employee was rude and I was scolded for not grooming my puppy at 3 months. (Sorry we were busy getting her medical issues fixed first) …

Ashley, I apologize for the slow response. I have just recently become familiar with the Google review procedures. Our pricing is based on time and products. We NEVER quote over the phone. We have a pricing guide on line or as a handout sheet. It gives averages and examples, it also lists the many many things that effect prices. I am sure the questioning you went through was an attempt to either help you with a cost guideline or an effort to find out what time or skills would be needed to service your puppy properly. I am very very sorry you felt "scolded". Sometimes groomer language and pet parent language have difficulty finding a common ground. We have a very in-depth, fully interactive and unique puppy Intro program that requires significant information be exchanged. I deeply apologize for someone "yelling" at a dog. I am sure it was my Mitszie barking. She is the Love of my life and with me always but is a chronic barker if she wants attention or if someone is coming or going from the shop. Generally phone calls are returned at the end of the day when we have undivided time and attention for the callers. Thank you. Kim
