Best place in the area! My dog loves it, he had a great time while he was spoiled there. Totally recommend!

I haven't boarded my pet here and I don't plan to in the near future. I live near the facility and all you can hear are dogs barking 24/7. You can hear people yelling at the dogs and I can only imagine how traumatizing it must be for a dog who is not used to constant barking and being yelled at. I do not recommend for anyone that truly cares about their pet.

Response from the owner

Hi Bobby! Thanks for your concern and we appreciate the feedback. We make sure to keep our personal dogs well exercised and busy, they will be barking during the day as people pull in and out, or as our neighbors peacocks strut around! There's a few things I'd like to address- Yes a kennel environment is not always suitable for certain dogs. A kennel is also not everyone's preference, even then.. we do not offer indoor outdoor boarding for guests, aside from long term boarders for those in need of a place for their pet to stay due to life circumstances such as deployment or moving. The dogs we board do great, and if it isn't a good fit we make sure to let the owners know and refer them to a different style facility. The dogs you may be hearing are not boarding dogs, as we have been partially closed for some time now. We have only ever leash walked and rotated our guests as they stay in our home and inside the facility to assure they're comfortable, monitored and have individual sessions for training etc. So while we are under construction there will be a little more activity throughout the day, we did address one of the workers who yelled at our personal dogs, (though our dogs couldn't care less) regardless… our dogs enjoy their playtime outside and we will not be changing that. Our dogs are a protective breed, and our Aussies can be vocal at times, while we do our best to discourage it verbally, we won't be utilizing bark collars or harsh methods. We have deliveries, grooming and training clients, and members of the household coming in and out that can cause them to bark. Perhaps a white noise machine can help! If they were barking 24/7 we would know… and they're most definitely are not. While I do sympathize with the request for a quiet and serene atmosphere, we have had vocal dogs here for many years— we work with many rescues, livestock guardians, and protective breeds. Phrases you'll often hear are; “Asparagus”, “Hush”, ”Quiet”, “No”, “Lucifer”, and a few of our other dogs names (we aren't satanists, and we don't talk to our garden, rather we choose to name our personal dogs some fun names) We appreciate the concern for their feelings, but they're fully accustom to hearing it, just as a child would be accustom to hearing their name being said firmly. We call them in from their play yards throughout the day, interrupt their choir practice (Asparagus likes to sing with the Aussies as backup), and they can be quite testy at times so we use the equivalent of using a child's full name when being corrected- aka “Dog training voice”. Words don't hurt their feelings, the personification of animals isn't necessary. They are working animals that can handle being talked to firmly. Be sure to check adjacent zoned properties prior to moving near a working dog kennel or agricultural area. We appreciate the feedback, and once construction is over we are eager to allow in more happy guests! If you'd like, we'd be more than happy to offer a nail trim and bath as an apology for the noise! Happy New Year! 🎊
