ACC has been my veterinary clinic for 30 years. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The quality of customer service, the personal attention, the staff's skill and expertise, all are unrivaled in my opinion. As someone who also provides a service to the public, i very much appreciate the quality of detail in everything ACC does.
Had to take our almost 13 year old beagle to have a tumor removed from under his ear. Dr. Paul was fantastic! He is extremely detailed in his explanations and will provide multiple options along with his recommendation. …
I would give 0 stars if I could. We unfortunately had to take our cat to get put down today, which is already an awful situation, but this was traumatizing. They placed the initial IV. When they went to give the sedation through it, our cat cried and jumped off the counter. Dr. Paul Bierlein said he believed the IV didn't work and she didn't get the medication. They took her to the back to place a new IV. 15 minutes later our cat comes back fully sedated with 2 IVs. So the last thing she saw was these people coming at her with needles. When I asked if they gave her anything while back there they said no, but the original medication (that she didn't get?) kicked in. We then had to push the “we're ready” button 3 times before the vet came back in the room. Dr. Paul Bierlein then went to give the final medication to stop her heart and reached for the arm with the original IV that didn't work. When I pointed out he had the wrong IV got very defensive and stepped out to double check with who placed the IV. His bedside manner was absolutely awful. When concerns were brought up he clearly didn't want to hear them, had zero compassion, and used excuses like “we are very busy,” “we have other clients,” and “they had a hard time getting an IV.” He offered a new vet to come in and when I said yes, his response was “well you'll have to wait a little bit,” as our cat was lying there completely sedated. It was an awful experience for my family and my poor cat. Something that should have taken no more than 20 minutes took an hour. I have had to put multiple pets down before and this is not how it's supposed to go. I will no longer be taking any of my pets here.
Nice staff, organized in/out for covid. Dr Paul & team did good surgical work on our older dog w CCA (acl) injury. Still long recovery, but that is normal. Anticipating good long term results.
