Thank you so much Fernando. We can't thank you enough for your loyalty. You guys are our family!
I called and discussed nail trim options for my dog. She is an old rescue with a history of neglect as a breeder female at a puppy mill. I told them that she does not typically do well with nail trims but she needs them done. They said to bring her in and see how she does and if she freaks out they can stop and we can discuss having them trimmed under sedation. Sounded great. Today, I brought her to the clinic. I told the guy that came out to get her (they are doing curb side pick up) that I noticed blood in her stool the night before and asked if it could be tested. He said she would have to see the vet and have a physical and as my appointment wasn't with the vet he wasn't sure it could happen today. He said he would let me know. I get a call 15 minutes later saying the vet examined her and wanted to do a fecal and blood test. It would be $130 total. My response: ‘I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding on my end but I thought you were going to see if there was an opening and let me know. I don't have that money right now.' He said ‘let me see what I can do.' 10 minutes go by and I call back to see what's going on. They say he is trimming her nails. 5 minutes pass and he comes outside with her and says ‘it's a good thing our regular vet isn't in today because they wouldn't release your dog back to you without you paying the exam fee.' I'm completely speechless and scoop my dog up and get in the car. I instantly notice all of her nails had been cut down past the quick and had bled. I call to make the payment for the nail trim and ask the receptionist about this. She said it's normal when they are overgrown and that she was already uncomfortable with getting them cut that they just wanted to get them cut as short as possible. I have never had a vet cut her nails down to the point that that bleed. I also don't know what happened with the phone call about not cutting them if she freaked out too much. Instead, I was given my dog back with bloody nails and her leash was soaked with urine. I can only imagine her experience behind the closed doors. I will never return to that vet.

You don't get to meet with the doctor as they are still servicing "curbside" due to Covid-19. None of the staff wore masks however so it seems they just don't want to bothered with actually having a conversation with the pet owner. That's great if you are just trying to get an animal updated with shots or immunization/vaccinations but leaves a lot to be desired if you have more complex medical treatment plans to discuss. It felt very procedural and transactional with little care or compassion.

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback. Our office does currently continue to work under curbside service, which is explained to clients. We understand this does not work for everyone should you decide to go elsewhere. We do hope you were satisfied with your pets care as that is our priority! Thank you
