"Out of all the Petsmart locations I've visited and being in the hobby of keeping fish for 16 years, this was the ABSOLUTE WORST service I've encountered. I arrived at this location 30 minutes prior to closing and due to that, I went directly to the fish to pick out what I wanted. There was a lady and her daughter discussing what they wanted to purchase so my kids and I did the same. Approximately 10-15 minutes after that finally someone comes to help. The Petsmart representative went directly to the lady and child (Assuming they were first there) but never asked the question which was fine because I was still undecided at the moment. While serving them, another gentleman approached and began taking a look at what he wanted as well. After the representative finished helping the lady, she left!! Didn't bother asking the other few ppl if they needed any help. (Now it's around 6:50) The cashier then comes out and announced that 15 minutes prior to the store closing, they stop selling fish. Odd because firstly I never heard of that rule before and this wasn't my first visit to this store but ok I can't argue with that but I will argue the fact that I've been standing there waiting for service even acknowledged to HER (the cashier) I needed help before she decided to approach. She grants the help and calls for it. Almost immediately the first lady that assisted the young lady and her daughter came back and asked "Hey What you need help with". I told her I wanted a Tiger Oscar, Dwarf Gourami, and a Opaline Gourami. Being rushed I didn't pick the fish I actually wanted so I just told her the type to make it easier on her. She then instructs me and my family to move back out of her way so she could get the ladder which wasn't needed because the fish I chose wasn't on the top racking system, they were in the middle. Ok fine! Upon checking out I asked the cashier what knowledge do they have of the fish being sold here. 3 tanks had dead fish in it (and i should'vetaken pics) the representative that somewhat helped never asked were the fish I was purchasing going together in the same aquarium because anyone that works here should know that and inform any customer purchasing semi aggressive fish and aggressive fish such as the oscar SHOULD NOT be housed together in an aquarium. The size of the 3 fish I purchased were nearly the same size but once the oscar grows, and they do grow rapidly should not be kept with any fish that can fit in its mouth. Or is it that it's closing hours and time to go home so y'all just don't care. She informed that she didn't have any knowledge and only owns betta fish but then looks at the bag and said oh yes that's an oscar and it recommended not to be kept with the other fish that's smaller. Great that she knew that at least but as far as the other lady, deliberately rude! All she could do was apologize for that! Moral or this story is to ensure you go in early enough to get exactly what you want and before you make a purchase, make sure you know what you're getting. Too many fish are being mistreated in this hobby and some places employs people like HER (with the nasty attitude) that doesn't care about what you're getting. Just get it and go is not the attitude to have. As for me and my family, we will not being be visiting this particular location due to this experience. Such a small fish selection but with the addition of rude service, totally not worth it for me. ✌🏾"
